The University Education Association-Duluth would like to recognize the union faculty who will be retiring at the end of this academic year. Michele Cheung, longtime PATFA member and grievance officer, just returned from the April 11-13 American Federation of Teachers’ higher education conference in Baltimore. Here are her observations:
PATFA members participating in the Annual Meeting on May 16 approved early steps toward creation of a faculty development fund for PATFA adjuncts.
And outgoing president Michael Burke stressed the need for even greater visibility for PATFA and all adjuncts working in the University of Maine System.
