Detroit teachers stand together and call on the community to join them in fighting for the future of Detroit kids.

Nominations for Elections for Executive Officers for the Maryland Professional Employee Council have been closed and the ballot has been set.

In accordance with the MPEC constitution, the election will be conducted by mail ballot. Ballots will be mailed to the last known address of all MPEC members in good standing.

Ballots are due back to the Maryland Professional Employee Council Elections Committee by 1:00pm on May 23rd, 2016 by US Mail.

Citizens across Maryland took to the polls on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 to elect new leaders for everything from President of the United States to local judges. Arizona schools are suffering from a combination of lower public investment, higher child poverty and rising enrollments. This is the result of a multiyear effort by Republicans and allies like the Goldwater Institute to cut taxes for the rich in a manner that forces schools to make tough choices while the state’s richest households do better than ever.

The DPS/DFT 2nd Annual Teacher’s Appreciation Gala will be held June 4, 2016 at the Detroit-Dearborn Doubletree Hotel from 6pm-12am.  This event is to recognize our hard work and dedication to the children of Detroit Public Schools. The deadline to sign up is May 2, 2016 so don't delay.
